Our process

How It Works: From Discovery to Launch

You shouldn’t have to guess what happens after you sign.

Discovery Design Development QA & Testing Launch The 8-week build of five stages

Discovery

Week one is usually all about understanding your business, goals, audience, along with the project scope. The required work, along with the timeline and cost, is given to you before signing the contract.

Design

Weeks 2 and 3 are the design phase of your website. Our experts give you wireframes and mockups of your website and finalize them upon your approval.

Development

In weeks 4 to 6, the approved designs are turned into a working website, including the required functionality and integrations.

QA & Testing

In week 7, the finished website is tested across devices and browsers, with checks for forms, functionality, performance, and key user journeys.

Launch

By week 8, your website goes live after final checks, followed by the agreed post-launch support period.

Know the difference

DIY vs. Freelancer vs. Agency

If your website is important to your sales, marketing, or day-to-day operations, the right team can save you from dealing with technical and project issues alone. But the cheapest option isn’t always the best fit for the project. Whether you’re comparing DIY, a freelancer, or a web design firm, check the level of support and expertise you’ll need.

Factor Agency (Us) Freelancer DIY / Website Builder
Cost Medium-Higher Low-Medium Lowest
Time to Launch Fixed timeline, on schedule Varies according to availability Fast (but limited results)
Design Quality Custom, professional Depends on skill Template-based
Reliability Dedicated team, accountable Risk of ghosting/delays You handle everything
Ownership Guaranteed from day one Often unclear Full (usually)
Best For Businesses that want growth + accountability Simple, one-off projects Very small budget, no growth plans
Buyer’s guide

How to Choose a Web Design Company

A bad web project usually goes wrong for the same handful of reasons: an agency won’t put things in writing, or disappears once the deposit clears. It can happen in both a boutique or a larger website development agency. Here’s exactly what you should commit to, upfront:

  1. Who owns the website?

Make sure the domain, hosting account, source code, or other key assets are registered in your name.

  2. How are payments structured?

Milestone-based payments can give both sides clear checkpoints throughout the project.

  3. What’s included in the quoted price?

Ask which design, development, revisions, integrations, testing, or support are included before signing.

  4. What’s the timeline?

A written timeline gives you a clear expectation for each stage of the project.

  5. Can you see relevant work?

Look beyond a general portfolio. Ask for examples similar to your industry, website type, or project requirements.

FAQs

What Clients Usually Ask Us About Web Design and Development

Straight answers on timelines, ownership, payments, SEO and support, before you commit to anything.

Depending on the complexity of the project, the timeframe is generally 6 to 10 weeks from the discovery call to launch. A simple business website often gets done in the shortest time, whereas a more complex build with a lot of integrations will take longer. You’ll get an exact written timeline before we begin the work.

All of these belong to you from day one. This is written into every website development contract at Tekcroft.

No, the payments are structured based on milestones. You review and approve each phase before the next payment is charged, so you only pay for work you’ve seen.

Design is divided into wireframes and mockups; you review and give feedback before development. Revision rounds are included in every package.

With all of our builds at Tekcroft, we include the site structure, speed optimization, meta tag formation, and the best SEO practices for the site’s technical foundation.

Each build includes QA and bug fixes for a period after launch. You can also purchase a plan where we take care of any ongoing website management.

We just need your project goals and any assets and/or files you have for your brand. If you don’t have anything, we will assist you in gathering everything you need through the Discovery phase.

We can work with what you already have. We would take a look at your website to identify which areas are lacking and rebuild around that. All while preserving the SEO rankings and content you’ve already earned.

Our websites are built to work for search everywhere. We include clean, crawlable content and structured data to make sure your site is easy for AI search tools and Google search to read.
